Goalkeepers
I remember watching a few keepers in my time. My top two are Parkes and Ludo.

Ludo made some unbelievable saves at times, but who's your choice as our best ever keeper?

For me it's Ludo that I've witnessed.

Re: Goalkeepers
For shot stopping green was always excellent. I worried with crosses though - I hated any time we faced Matty Taylor. I assumed that was why we bought him - so green didn’t have to worry any more

But Ludo for me - I never saw Parkes. Though Fab could get there - he really is far better than us

Im not having that Block.

Bywater was brilliant when he was on 'Goals on Sunday'

I cant remember what he was talking about, but he was just about to say 'cunt', but instead, chose to say 'see you next Tuesday'

The look on Kamara's face was brilliant, although it wouldnt have surprised me, if Kamara, the silly fucker, probably doesnt know what 'see you next Tuesday' is.

Oh the irony.

Kamara wrote about it his book.... apparently they asked him what were the best word of advise he was given and he said when Les Sealey told him dont be a cunt (along those lines). According to Kamara he spelt it out, apparently it destroyed his co presenters career for not stopping him (not sure how though)

Boris the Beard.

That was it . I thought he actually said' see you next Tuesday' but you're right, even worse he just spelt it out!

Ive tried finding a clip of it, but have had no joy.

Clare Tomlinson still presented on Sky Sports News, afterwards.

You would have thought the blame was solely on Bywater - but there you go.

Re: Goalkeepers
Ludo was a great keeper, I remember a fantastic save down at a windswept, rainy Pompey in December 1990 whe the ball was deflected away from him and somehow he twisted his huge frame and pushed the goal bound effort away. But for consistency over a 10 year period before his knees went it has to be big Phil for me the best West Ham keeper in my time

Re: Goalkeepers
Parkes was the best for me. I particularly liked his ability to do diving saves that he would hold onto - none of this palming the ball back into play.

Ludo had one of the biggest drop kicks I've ever seen.

A mention too for Ted Hufton. I would've liked to see him in action as I think he'd be right up there with our very best. Cost us £300 and played 456 times. Also capped for England (and broke his arm playing against Ireland!).
